Front panel buttons

The buttons are best thought of in pairs, one above the other.

 

on/off button On/Off button

A short click on this button does nothing.

A long press on the On/Off button turns the unit on or off.

 

on/off button Volume button

Each short click cycles you through the three settings for the volume of the audible indicator:

A long press on the Volume button does nothing.

 

menu button Menu button

A short click takes you into the Menu mode for starting and stopping the logger and for configuring the instrument.

A long press on the Menu button does nothing.

 

on/off button Enter button

Each short click cycles you through displaying the three on-board altimeters on the top digital display (see the digital display page for details on the various altimeters and how they differ).

A long press on the Enter button down will set A2 or A3 to zero, depending on which of them is showing at the time. A long press when the main altimeter (A1) is showing does nothing.

 

menu button Display Up

Each short click cycles you through the five options for what is displayed on the numeric display at the bottom right of the display:

A long press on the Display-Up button does nothing.

menu button Display-Down

A short click on the Display Down button does the same thing as a short click on the Display Up button, except that you cycle through the options in the opposite direction.

A long press on the Display Down button when the stopwatch is showing resets the stopwatch. A long press when the other functions are showing does nothing.
