International site of the the Italian Digifly company, makers of the Flyer and other varios. Site in English and Italian.

Lucky for us their products are better designed than their web site.

Site includes software downloads, including some command-line firmware upgrade tools (my advice: get your dealer or importer to do it instead), and a support forum.

Buying a Digifly

See the Digifly UK web site for a list of UK authorised dealers endorsed by the official UK importers. Digifly flight instruments bought from an authorised dealer are covered under the terms of the UK Digifly 2 year warranty, and are eligible for after-sales and upgrade support from the UK importers.

The advertised prices amongst the dealers are very similar, but it may be worth ringing around to see if this is the price you pay.

It may be possible to buy cheaper than from the authorised dealers, either on the Continent (where you might hand over the same number of Euros as you would Pounds here), or from parallel importers.

If thinking about buying from outside the official dealer network, check as to what level of after-sales service and upgrade support you can expect.

METARS

There are loads of web sites offering relays of the METAR reports (current local weather conditions, including QNH, for an airfield).

For example, the Pilot Web one is nicely presented www.pilotweb.co.uk/content/weather/.
